About Anna Glendenning
Welcome to HappyMomAnna.com this is the first website I created in March 2005. It started out as an easy place to keep track of some of the important information I discovered I needed to document, write and find later. As a sudden member of the Internet Adoption world I had selected the name HappyMomAnna as my username in a hope that psychologically I could keep in mind how Happy and blessed my life is even when under stress. It seemed the natural name to pick when I decided to create my own little place on the interent.
Originally, I kept a small online Jounal I called, "A RAD Moms Journal" because this was the diagnosis our little girl was given first. The first of many actually during this journey of parenting special needs siblings adopted from the foster care system. Eventually, other parents I met around the Internet and at local support groups started visiting my website and emailing me for informaiton or just to share their own story.
In 2007 it was time to move the articles and content I had written or collected to a website address that might better represent all the effort and the Adoptive Parents Network was created. The Adoptive Parents Network website has become a leading interactive social networking website offering a variety of resources, services, and tools for foster, adoptive and special needs parents to connect and support each other.
The HappyMomAnna Adoptive Parents Forum remainsl published for it's historic content and can be read--this forum is closed.
